ENABLING PROCESS WITH TECHNOLOGY

By itself, technology has no value. It only acquires value when it enables work to be done or done better or faster. Yet organizations constantly: buy technology not fully understanding the work it must support; go through immensely painful implementations trying to fit a square peg into a round hole; limp along with technology misaligned to process; then repeat the entire cycle again because “it was the software’s fault.”

Technology alignment: HYM has unique expertise aligning technology to process – most often as part of customer-centricity initiatives but in a significant percentage of cases to help clients implement new ERP systems or highly vertical applications in areas such as HR or supply chain. Regardless of venue, we take the same approach: redesign process first; then align technology to process.

It takes two: Trying to work with either process or technology alone is futile in today’s office/service process environments. Significant improvements require both, with process taking the lead.
